Everyone makes their chicken adobo different. Flavors may vary depending on ingredients used. The main ingredients of chicken adobo are vinegar and soy sauce. I like to add garlic to mine to give it that extra kick!
The ingredients I used:
– Chicken Wings (I usually make pork adobo. Its tastier hehe!)
– Garlic
– Vinegar (I chose Apple Cider vinegar, it gives more flavor)
– Soy Sauce (Kikkoman brand. Sometimes I use Knorr seasoning soy sauce.. I’m not sure if your local Safeway or Raley’s has it, but you can go to an Asian market and get one)
– Bay Leaves
That’s it! The ingredients are very simple. I cook chicken adobo all the time cause its quick and easy to make. Have a request? Message or leave a comment. Enjoy! (^_^)

This is a delicious, mouthwatering, simple dish, very much loved and a favourite in the Philippines, that involves chicken pieces traditionally braised in soy sauce, garlic, vinegar and bay leaves.
INGREDIENTS:
2 chicken drumsticks
2 chicken thighs
4 cloves of garlic, crushed to let the flavour ooze (I love garlic!)
1 cup vinegar (preferably rice vinegar)
1 cup dark soy sauce
2 cups water
4 bay leaves
a pinch of ground black peppercorns
METHOD:
Place chicken pieces in heavy-based pan at medium heat. Once lightly browned, add water, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and bay leaves and then let it simmer for about 25 minutes. When tender, add more water if the sauce has become quite thick and tastes strong, throw in a pinch of pepper and let it cook for a few more minutes and then serve with steamed rice! Masarap, ‘di ba?

this real delicious and easy to do barbecue chicken recipe is served from a pot on the grill. And with a few off-the-shelf ingredients, it is ready to eat in as little as an hour. But be sure to make a double batch of these tender and juicy thighs because your barbeque pit fans will keep coming back for more and more….!

A personal recipe of mine, after months of trial and error.
There are many adobo recipes here on You Tube, all with different ways of cooking it, with different proportions of ingredients, which all tastes great, I’m sure. But this is the one that produces a flavor that I really like.
