Yeah, he’s played with Erika Badu, was part of the John Mayer Trio, and a whole mess of other big acts. Music and funk– it all comes from the soul. Heard he was asked to audition for The Who. They kept him waiting for 2 days — and he sent them a bill for his time- after being their first pick! That’s class. Also, I do know that as a kid, Stevie Wonder’s sound was a huge influence on his tastes, and how can you argue with that?
