Serves 3 to 4. This is my way of cooking the famous Karahi chicken. I cook it in pressure cooker. Usually eaten with chapati or Naan. Goes well with rice or noodles too.
Warning – this is a spicy dish, you can reduce spices and still get the same taste. Enjoy

    The first water …
The first water usually is mostly from the meat and has a smell. So you want to evaporate that away so that the smell goes away. Then you add to tender the meat.

    making targets …
making targets shouldn’t be the aim………….presenting the right thing should be the target. actually karahi chicken doesn’t have onions and some other spices shown here. having one’s own version doesn’t mean that the basic recipe should be changed. no offence sfehmi but i thought viewers must know the facts.

No – it is not …
No – it is not essential. You can actually cook it in a Karahee or WOK or any other pot. Pressure cooker saves some time.

For this dish I would prefer that you add mor chillies. Find some real hot ones and that should do it. Thx for asking, good question.

Is it essential to use a pressure cooker with these recipes? and to increase the heat in these currys would you just add powdered cayenne pepper or more chillies?
